A DICKENS CHRISTMAS
Stranded on a lifeboat in the mid-Atlantic, a band of castaways turn to storytelling to survive. This is A Dickens Christmas: a bittersweet, joyfully inventive adaptation that weaves together some of Charles Dickens’ lesser-known festive tales - including The Goblins Who Stole a Sexton and The Holly-Tree Inn - alongside haunting sea shanties and moments of real emotional resonance.
Through stunning visuals, bold movement and a poetic script, Black Hound conjures a wintry world full of ghostly apparitions, redemptive reckonings and unlikely camaraderie. This production reclaims the radical heart of Dickens, placing women, workers and outsiders centre stage in a celebration of hope, humour and humanity.
